Hazelwood East Softball Team Came Home Conference Champions!

The Hazelwood East varsity softball team is number one in the conference in 2018. They practice hard because they want to win and impress the scouts. The team gets good discipline when needed so they are always on track to win. They practice hard by giving one – hundred percent and listening to everything their coaches say.

“Everyone is a valuable player, especially our pitchers Ashanti Young and Mariion Thomas,” said Coach Carpenter.

All of the girls were really excited about being number one in the conference. They had no clue that they would make it that far because the Hazelwood East softball team hasn’t made the top 5 in ages.

“I feel real good about making number one in the conference because it’s our first year of doing that in a long time and since we didn’t think we would have a team this year, it’s just amazing that we made it this far,” said Masami Holmes.
