Many Young People Are Dying
Many citizens are impacted by homicides almost every day these past few weeks in Spanish Lake, Mo. There are many different reasons for these deaths such as drug and gun violence, disagreements and home invasions.
Many people in that area feel like if the children had the motivation to not be in the streets it could result in fewer deaths. A citizen of the area, Quiarra Short had lots to say.
“ We should create revenue and organizations for children and drug dealers to get involved in so they don’t sell drugs,” said Quiarra Short.
The way the people in this community grow up and the things that they see can potentially affect the things they do when they are adults.
“Your circumstances can possibly take over and you have to do what you do to survive. Sometimes you have to rob someone or steal from the store and kill someone because your hungry and have family to take care of, ” said Ms.Short

It saddens and frustrates me that there is so much violence in St. Louis. There are many social nets available in America to help those in need, so stealing for basic necessities is really unnecessary.
