Titanic Year for Tech Titans
The Tech Titans 2022-2023 Robotics season was definitely one for the books. The Tech Titans have shown hard-work, dedication, and perseverance throughout the season. The Titans have given even more reasoning behind the “Proud to be East” slogan here at Hazelwood East High School.
“I joined robotics to mainly enhance my knowledge on engineering, and it was pretty fun and very inclusive,” said Jayden Bluett. Jayden aspires to be a mechanical engineer, so partaking in the East Robotics Club helps him gain first hand experience and get a head start on his career path.
Another member of the Tech Titans stated “I learned how to program and we worked together on a lot of stuff”. Maymuna Amar wants to be in the field of medicine, dealing with precise mathematics. Robotics Club is giving her a preview of what’s to come.
The Tech Titans’ overall record for the season was 29-9-0. For the Titans’ performance they received multiple awards, some being; the Control Award, the Think Award, and Design Award. These awards represent the mastering in robot intelligence, removing engineering obstacles, and industrial design. Throughout the season the team has received a total of 2,992 points in winning matches.
The Tech Titans continue to impress. We look forward to seeing what else the Tech Titans have in store.
